To say this has been a longtime coming is a HUGE understatement.
This is so custom that it demands a bit of story to fully explain what is being offered today. Nearly every single aspect of this knife has been completely redesigned and retooled to make it a truly exclusive PPL x Knafs collab. So much was changed and adjusted that even the screws and hardware were custom made for this knife.
We wanted fully original brass cast scales to make it really stand out from anything else on the market. Not a surface level of detail, a full blown level of insanely deep and intricate details that you can’t do without maximum effort. The factory told us they couldn't do it...we said, hold my beer and made the scales elsewhere and provided them with the nearly impossible scales for them to keep going. No small task to do, but we held strong to the vision.
After the custom cast brass scales, newly spec'd screws and the anodized titanium thumb studs were finished, we black acid washed and tumbled the S35VN blades and deep carry (reversible) pocket clips to the perfect battle worn finish.
You know by now it doesn't stop here... we also made a custom solid wooden box with a removable foam insert so it can be repurposed. If that wasn’t enough, we made a THICK brass PPL x Knafs collab coin to serve as the official COA for these limited edition knives. The chef's kiss is the absolute RAZOR sharp edge on each blade.
No detail was left untouched, overlooked, or compromised. These are special.
Was it easy? No. Was it cheap? No. Will they ever be made again? No. Was putting over a solid year of work into these worth it? Absolutely.
